Week 8: #19 Web 2.0 Awards List

Netvibes is a startpage that allows one to customize its contents. Creating a startpage that contains the individual librarian's favorite search sites and is conveniently arranged would provide increased accessibility for the librarian and faster service for customers. With the new tab feature on Internet Explorer, it is very easy to call up a personalized start page that would be used to assist customers. I did find that Netvibes, as well as the other startpages, was selective in what could be added for customization. However, Netvibes did seem to offer the greatest flexibility and most useful sites in a library setting.
